As usually happens I discover most of the must see films on Democracy Now – democracynow.org. Today Amy Goodman draw our attention to Film Producer Amy Ziering who explained how they are fighting to obtain a law against rape in the army environment. At the very beginning of Amy Ziering talk I thought I didn’t understand. To me, it was unbelievable that such a reality was something hidden and still possible in a so called “developed country”. Then I saw few minutes of film sequence and I was immediately grateful to people who decided to speak about this unspeakable reality. This truth is very well depicted in Invisible War film.
Invisible War has been shown in many Film Festivals such as Sundance, where it won the audience award; Dallas Film Festival, Seattle film festival as best documentary; winner at Human rights watch film festival; winner at Province Town film festival.
I hope it will be possible to watch this film as soon as possible. I hope it will be possible to buy it online. I hope spreading the world will be useful not only to be able to watch it, but alsto to contribute to take action. Something that is vital right now. Dear producers, thank you so much for this film. Lilithwork.

We all know how to read. Right.
But we see more moving images than words nowadays. Do we know how to see them? Do we feel like we have acquired literacy about that?
Do we know how to watch something properly? Without being passive in front of moving images?
Amongst tons and tons of moving images, we should start from films, because they are the best quality of moving images society knows.
First of all, we must forget popcorn and beverages.
Think about it: we can not even hear dialogues if we eat or drink, can’t we!
So, let’s concentrate and start the film.
Many things we can know about a film are clear from film credits.
So let’s strat from the credits.
The atmosphere, the flavour you will find all the film long are hidden at the very beginning.
Start to watch whatsoever film and think about titles. What do they convey? What do they imply? Which atmosphere do they suggest?
Try to do this exercise and please tell us what you find out.
